Kane celebrates his century goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has declared that his desire in coming back to the Premier League has lessened and he is open to explore a new deal with Bayern Munich.
The prolific striker is at the moment midway through the four-year contract he agreed to when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the transfer window of 2023.
The veteran forward has accumulated an impressive 103 goals in 106 games for the German team, helping them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which represented the maiden significant trophy of his notable career.
Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has earlier stated that he would welcome to see Kane return to England, where he lacks 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring milestone of 260.
However, the England leader has now suggested that he is no longer as enthusiastic about returning home as he earlier was, and would seriously consider prolonging his stay in Bavaria.
"In terms of remaining longer, I could certainly see that," he stated.
"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be open to talk and have an frank conversation.
"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so goes and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not considering about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have discovered in my career is that different opportunities and different timings happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."
Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the historic top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and lately became the speediest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five competitions, securing the landmark in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a honor had eluded him until he secured the German title last season.
Kane states that he was not sure how he would respond after breaking his trophy wait, but now thinks it has made him hungry for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.
"But it's given me more motivation to do more and be better. I think I've demonstrated that this year.
"I was interested in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
